There was a time when there was no PubG or Fortnite, and popular games among youth were Tekken or games offered by biggest social media platform Facebook. Famous games by Facebook included Candy Crush, Farmville etc. Facebook enabled the Facebook users to play these games with their online friends and interact during the game which increased the popularity of these games. Farmville was one of those super hit games, about which people were crazy and love to spend most of their times on. Farmville was a farming simulator which enabled Facebook friends to work together as neighbor farmers.

As living in 2020, we are ready to expect anything at any time, so this time its Facebook famous game Farmville, which is coming to its end after being popular among early Facebook generation and breaking the records.

People were curious about this sudden ending of their favorite game so Farmville made an announcement post on their official Facebook page named a FAQ and in a reply to question that why is it shutting down, FarmvilleLink icon officials replied “Farmville runs on Adobe Flash and from December 31st Adobe Flash and games running on it will no longer be supported by browsers and Facebook. That is why we had to take the tough decision of shutting down Farmville”.

Not only Farmville, many web browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari by Apple have also announced that by the end of this year ,Flash support will come to an end to them too .

Farmville was introduced in 2009 and completed 11 years gloriously on Facebook. This GoodBye to their famous game is a huge loss for developing company Zynga as since the launch of the game, Facebook witnessed 10 million active users of the game which is pretty much higher than normal and at the time when game was at peak of its popularity, Facebook statistics say that there were 30 million active players daily.

Keeping in view the popularity of Farmville, Zynga introduced mobile versions and a sequel for the game was also released, but it is a fact that subsequent games can never replace the fun and that feeling of being captured like the original one.

According to Farmville sources, game players can still make in-app purchases until 17 November 2020, till Zynga shutdowns the payment system. However, farming with your online neighbors will be available till December 31, 2020.

While saying Goodbye to Farmville, Zynga decided to treat their VIP players. No VIP subscription is being offered after 26th of September, but adding to this, Zynga announced that players who were already having VIP subscription will be given all the services of VIP subscription till the game officially comes to an end on 31st December.

Farmville developers said next three months as sunset period for the game; according to them you can enjoy it as much as you can in this sunset period of Farmville. If you’re true Farmville lover and sad about saying GoodBye to Facebook’s famous Farmville, no need to worry, there are many similar games from Zynga which will be still available after 31st December 2020.
