Apple Time Flies Event Roundup

We all know that every year, around the mid of September Apple releases their new iPhones. So not being affected by the pandemic and keeping up with their legacy, Apple is launching new products this year too. Apple following the strategy of other tech companies, held a Show Case event, naming it “Time Flies”, on Tuesday, 15^th of September to announce their upcoming up to dated products.

No iPhone 12??

This news might be saddening for those who, after the success of iPhone 11, were waiting for iPhone 12 but yes Apple made no announcement about the most awaited iPhone 12. There is no confirmed news about releasing of iPhone 12, but the guess is that it may be due to the effects of COVID-19 that Apple is delaying their new iPhone. Guesses are that it will be released around the mid of October or maybe Later.

“Time Flies” event as name shows, it was focused on new Apple Watch 6, Apple Watch SE and iPads.

It’s been 10 years since the Apple launched their first iPad and according to them they have sold over 500 million iPads. Now Apple announced that they are launching their 4^th Generation revolutionary iPad Air. It will be available in the markets by the start of October 2020. This all new, powerful, and versatile iPad Air will offer its users a great visual experience by its 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, 3.8 million pixels, full lamination, P3 wide color support, True Tone, and an anti-reflective coating. New iPad Air will come in five exciting colors: silver, space gray, rose gold, green and sky blue.

This revolutionary iPad Air will offer all the up to date features like Touch ID fingerprint unlock through its power button instead of having it on home screen. Apple also upgraded to breakthrough 5-nanometer A14 Bionic chip with six cores and a four-core GPU from A12 Bionic Chip. Due to this A14 Bionic Chip, users will have a good experience of editing 4K videos, creating unique art pieces, playing immersive games, and much more. Another smart move in this new iPad Air is that it will switch from USB-C connection to Apple’s own Lightning port. These updates will boost the CPU performance of iPad Air by 40% and graphics will also be improved by 30%.

Apple is featuring 12MP rear camera for higher resolution photos and 4K video capture with the exciting stereo speakers to elevate the audio experience for their users.

Moving towards the price of iPad Air, it will be available for $599 in first month, and may be on sale in next month. LTE model will cost $729. You can also pre order your iPad Air from September 18^th onwards.

Apple updated its most popular and affordable iPad with a new processor making it more powerful. This 8th-generation tablet is featuring the A12 Bionic chip that will bring the Neural Engine to iPad for the first time. It will have the same stunning 10.2-inch Retina display, advanced cameras, and long lasting battery life.

Good news that Apple decided not to change its original price and to sell it at same $329. It will be available in market from September 18^th.

Apple Watch Series 6:

We can say that “Time Flies” event was actually revolving around Apple Watch Series 6 in the light of the fact that event started with the announcement of Watch Series 6. Major upgrade is that Watch Series 6 is featuring all new oximeter which will help the users to monitor their blood oxygen level within 15 seconds using red light. But this will aid only in diagnosing and not medication.

While building Watch Series 6, Apple decided not to change much from Watch Series 5. It is proved by the fact that it has same always on-display thing with same resolution (368х448), and the same basic design from Series 4 but with some new colors: blue, classic gold, classic graphite, and exciting Apple Watch Product Red. For ceramic version lovers, there’s no ceramic version in the Series 6 yet, it is only available in titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel options.

But yeah there are some up gradations, like Series 6 is built with new S6 chipset, which is faster and more efficient. There’s a big upgrade in brightness, Series 6 is having 2.5 times brighter display than Series 5. Other new features are: Watch face sharing, more Workout app modes, Sleep tracking, Hand-washing detection, cycling directions and headphone listening duration tracking.

It will be in market from Friday, 18th September with the same starting price of $399.

Apple Watch SE:

On the occasion of “Time Flies”, apple revealed another product along with Watch Series 6, naming it Watch SE. It is considered as an affordable alternative of Watch Series 6 as it cost $279 whereas Series 6 is starting from $399. This watch will have many of features same as Series 6, for example, same watch OS 7 software, automatic hand wash detection and new workout types.

It has S5 chipset processor which will make its performance similar to Watch Series 5. It will be available from September 18th in three different case finishes. The cellular + GPS model is starting at $329.

iOS 14:

Last announcement was about system update of Apple.System updates always come out on the same dates as the company’s latest iPhones, but this it’s not the same as iPhone 12’s release is delayed. But good news for Apple users is that Apple announced it will release iOS 14 on 16^th September. This new software is available on the iPhone 6s and above.
